Privacy Policy

This site is a set of static pages about checking whether an image was made by AI. That shape decides most of what follows: there is no account system, no comment section, no upload form, and no newsletter.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing, unless you email us. There is no sign-up, no form, and no place on this site where you enter personal details.

If you send an email to the address on the contact page, we receive whatever you put in that message — your address, your text, and any attachment. It is kept for as long as it takes to answer and to keep a record of corrections, and it is not added to a mailing list or sold.

Cookies

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies of its own. There is no Google Analytics tag, no pixel, and no tag manager on these pages.

Cloudflare, which serves the site, may set strictly functional cookies needed to deliver pages and to defend against abuse. Those are set by Cloudflare, not by us, and are described in Cloudflare's own cookie and privacy documentation.

If advertising is added later, that will change — see "Changes to this policy" below.

Third parties that see your request

Cloudflare. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served through Cloudflare's network. Like any CDN, Cloudflare processes technical data about requests — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — in order to deliver the page and to block abuse. That processing is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Outbound links. This site links to vendors, papers, and documentation. Once you follow a link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links may be affiliate links, which means the destination may pay a commission if you sign up or buy something after following one. Links on this site may be affiliate links, and this is disclosed in the footer of every page.

What that does not mean: we do not receive your name, email, payment details, or account data from those vendors. We may receive aggregate reporting — clicks, and whether a sale was attributed — and nothing that identifies you personally. Following an affiliate link may cause the destination to set its own cookies; those are governed by that site's policy.

Affiliate links do not decide what a page says. Where a tool has a limitation, the page states it whether or not there is a link to that tool.

Advertising

There is no advertising on this site today. If advertising is added, this policy will be updated before or when it starts, and the update will say which network is used and what it sets.

Your choices

You can block cookies and scripts in your browser without losing access to anything here — these pages do not depend on them. You can also email to ask what correspondence we hold about you, or to have it deleted, and we will answer.

Children

This site is written for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes — adding analytics, adding advertising, adding a form — will be described in this section rather than slipped in silently.
